Job Title: Sr. Finance Expert – G2N

Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)

Assignment Length: 6–7 months with possible extension

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Finance Expert – Gross to Net (G2N) to provide day‑to‑day operational and forecasting support for a pharmaceutical organization. This role will act as a key finance partner, supporting Gross‑to‑Net forecasting, variance analysis, risk assessment, and senior leadership reporting. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on G2N forecasting experience within pharma and can deliver accurate, timely insights to support critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Day‑to‑Day Operational Support

  • Serve as a backfill business resource supporting G2N forecasting and operations.
  • Perform preliminary data gathering, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of data received from commercial teams.
  • Deliver value‑added financial insights, including recommendations to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Update the Breakaway Technologies G2N system with refreshed assumptions and data.
  • Leverage proprietary Excel models and the Breakaway application to calculate Gross‑to‑Net rates.
  • Analyze validated transactional data across G2N channels.

Forecasting, Analytics & Business Partnering

  • Provide accurate and actionable financial analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad‑hoc requests.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to assess risks and opportunities; recommend mitigation strategies and document assumptions.
  • Prepare and present G2N materials summarizing forecast assumptions, analytics, and key insights.
  • Support MMF and FRA teams in preparation for leadership and senior management meetings regarding G2N results.
  • Conduct and present:
  • Historical and forward‑looking Risk & Opportunities analysis
  • Forecast variance analysis
  • Channel‑specific G2N analysis

Governance & Process Management

  • Document and distribute minutes from G2N forecast review meetings to key stakeholders.
  • Track action items and update G2N software with approved changes to assumptions and data.
  • Monitor business performance and provide early warning indicators to enable proactive resource re‑alignment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial analyses delivered to internal stakeholders
  • Reliability and accuracy of Gross‑to‑Net forecasts and budgetary projections
  • Effectiveness of early‑warning indicators for risks and opportunities
  • Efficient management of operational and financial risks within the business line

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of senior‑level experience executing Gross‑to‑Net forecasting within a pharmaceutical company
