Job Description

Fund Financial Operations (FFO) is responsible for financial oversight, reporting, and investor servicing. FFO liaises with multiple groups across the firm on a day-to-day basis, including Portfolio Management, Global Investors Group, Performance Reporting, and Risk and Compliance, as well as our third-party fund administrator.

The internship opportunity

Our hands-on internship provides practical training, exposure to multiple business lines, and opportunities to interface with leadership.

The FFO Intern will receive real-world experience by obtaining an understanding of the reporting provided to investors and consultants while heavily interacting with the FFO team and gaining exposure to senior management. The Intern will gain an understanding of the various investment vehicles managed by Affinius Capital as well as the diverse real estate attribution reporting and accounting metrics provided to investors and consultants. The candidate can expect an environment that nurtures and challenges, while providing hands on career-building experience.

Your key responsibilities

  • Preparation of ad hoc investor capital calls and distribution notices
  • Quarterly investor reporting
  • Quarterly and ad hoc supplementary reporting
  • Quarterly investor portal data import/validation
  • Data attribution projects
  • Other ad hoc projects and related responsibilities as assigned

  • Undergraduate Senior or Graduate First-Year with a degree focus in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics (GPA 3.0 or above)
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with or exposure to automation and data tools

  • Demonstrates initiative and strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize assignments to meet numerous deadlines and work in a fast paced, changing environment
