Job description

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with accounting and leaders across Brennan to provide financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support that strengthen business performance and support continued growth. This role analyzes financial and operational results, identifies trends, risks, and opportunities, and turns complex information into clear, practical recommendations that help our teams make informed decisions.
The Senior Financial Analyst also leads initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, reporting, and analytics while sharing knowledge and mentoring other team members. Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial performance, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, balance sheet and operational metrics, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts that support planning and organizational decision-making
  • Review and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Lead the preparation of variance analyses, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership and business partners.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts while partnering with department leaders to monitor financial performance against established goals.
  • Design, develop, and maintain financial reporting tools, dashboards, and insightful spreadsheets that support accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
  • Collaborate with all departments to improve financial results, reporting accuracy, and organizational performance.
  • Lead assigned projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial information to management.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, or financial reporting
  • CPA preferred, current CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional) or certification within two years hire.
  • Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft platform and financial reporting systems; experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Business curiosity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present financial information to personnel across the organization.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and lead projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
