Director of Human Resources

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead all aspects of our people operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives while fostering a high-performance, employee-centered culture.
The ideal candidate is comfortable building HR infrastructure in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's overall HR strategy
- Partner with executive leadership on organizational planning and workforce strategy
- Build scalable HR programs that support company growth
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations and organizational effectiveness
Talent Acquisition
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for technical and corporate positions
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract top talent
- Manage external recruiting agencies and hiring vendors
- Improve interview processes and hiring quality
- Develop onboarding programs for new employees
Performance Management
- Design and administer performance review processes
- Develop KPI and goal-setting frameworks
- Coach managers on employee development
- Support succession planning and leadership development
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on employee concerns and conflict resolution
- Conduct workplace investigations when necessary
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Compensation & Benefits
- Develop competitive compensation strategies
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis
- Partner with Finance on compensation planning
- Manage employee benefits programs and vendor relationships
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Update employee handbook and company policies
- Oversee HR audits and regulatory compliance
HR Operations
- Implement and optimize HR systems and processes
- Maintain accurate employee data and reporting
- Develop HR dashboards and workforce metrics
- Analyze trends to support executive decision-making
Culture & Engagement
- Develop employee engagement initiatives
- Lead recognition and retention programs
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing remote work environment
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years in an HR leadership role
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
- Experience supporting remote teams
- Experience recruiting technical and corporate professionals
- Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
