Job description

Direct your passion for people, communication, numbers, and technology into the rewarding field of orthodontics! Your past experience or studies in communications, insurance, financials, business, or accounting could serve as the perfect foundation to train into this role. Join our vision to make a patient’s smile experience an extraordinarily wonderful, memorable event!

Add to that: Generous benefits, intelligent 4-day workweek, and stimulating, rewarding work... bound to make you smile.

Quest Orthodontics, the highly reputable, private orthodontic practice of Dr. Arjun Patel and Team is growing and looking for a delightful co-worker to add their smile and expert abilities to their workgroup in the positively impactful position of Financial Coordinator.

Could this be the career you are seeking? Are you seeking a team-oriented environment that also offers rewarding, engaging work? How about a career that not only appreciates, but also capitalizes your friendly personality and velvety verbal skills? Do you enjoy providing authentic, warm hospitality and education while engaging in conversations with children and adults? Are you comfortable discussing financial investments? Are you ready to be busy all the time, utilizing contemporary technology and managing meticulous details? Did you just say “YES!” out loud? Keep reading!

After training, what does a Financial Coordinator do? Quest Orthodontics has crafted a thoughtful experience for new patients, and the Financial Coordinator (FC) is the last “touch-point” of a new patient’s first visit and “drive home!” onboarding process! After training, our fabulous Financial Coordinators use their excellent communication skills to educate new patients on their smile investment! Of course, this happens after Dr. Patel has proposed a treatment recommendation. The FC reviews the Financial Contract and Orthodontic Treatment “Start Forms” (i.e. Rocking and rolling with braces or Invisalign!). They also educate patients on their insurance coverage and obtain automatic payment forms and review the practice’s appointment policy. When the FC is not face-to-face with a patient, they create invoices, post payments, verifies insurance, and creates payment plans.

How do new members of Quest Orthodontics learn industry specifics? Easy answer! They are taught by the amazing team that makes up our workgroup! New team members are introduced to new material layer by layer, and Quest has the BEST and MOST DETAILED Standard Operating Procedure document, including ample Loom videos for training. You’ll be amazed at what learning you will conquer within 90 days of learning!

What are the qualifications to apply?

  • Fast keyboarding and solid computer skills.
  • Customer service mindset and experience: Empathy, kindness, patience.
  • Warm personality and remarkable “tuned in” listening skills.
  • Leadership skills to guide conversation with patients and parents.
  • Passionate desire to work in a field that helps others.
  • Excellent references: Stable, reliable, and dependable.
  • Desire to work a permanent, 4-day workweek position: Friday is OFF for a long weekend, EVERY weekend!
  • Stable work history that utilizes excellent customer service communication skills regarding financials. We often communicate with parents who have little time and who can be stressed as they are stretched between their children’s activities. We are seeking someone who can be empathetic and kind, while also being the leader in the parent-staff relationship to guide the parent into office policies that make everyone’s day easier.
  • BA/BS or credits earned with studies in Communications, Business, Accounting, other related field. Experience with insurance is valued, but not required to apply.
  • MUST LOVE TECHNOLOGY! Quest Orthodontics stays on top of the ever-evolving orthodontic software and technology to maximize efficiencies and optimize the patient experience. This office utilizes AI to “work smart!”
  • Initiative to study and quickly learn terminology, processes, and software that is industry specific. Prior experience in the healthcare field is valuable but not required. We mostly value hiring the right person; we can train the technical aspects of this position.
