Job Description

Data and Analytics

  • Support end-of-semester and annual reporting by compiling and summarizing key metrics.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Assist with survey data collection and analysis to evaluate student experiences and program effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update employer engagement records, including outreach, event participation, and follow-up tracking.
  • Support First Destination Survey outreach, data entry, and record clean-up.
  • Review data sets for accuracy and consistency, flagging errors or missing information.
  • Pull and organize data from platforms such as Handshake and Navigate to support reports and projects.
  • Document data processes and workflows so they can be easily repeated by others.

Student and Front Desk Support

  • Welcome visitors to the Strommen Center and serve as the first point of contact.
  • Handle all front desk and administrative duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, etc.
  • Assist students with Navigate and Handshake, our online career portal.
  • Assist students with resume and cover letter writing, beginning steps of job and internship searches, and connecting to career planning resources.
  • Attend regular supervisor check-ins and staff meetings as able.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace. This includes wiping down desks, taking out trash etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Rate of Pay: [$16.45/hour]
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
  • Not eligible for health insurance benefits
Qualifications
  • Be currently enrolled at Augsburg University in good academic standing and work-study eligible.
  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Be friendly, professional, and customer service-oriented with students, faculty, staff, employers, and guests.
  • Be reliable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality with student information.
  • Be comfortable working in spreadsheets (sorting, filtering, basic formulas) and learning platforms such as Handshake, Navigate, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
