Job description

The Company is adding an Assistant Controller to its growing finance team. The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license and have 5-8 years of experience in public accounting or private industry, with exposure to multi-entity environments. The role requires a self-directed professional who can operate with minimal supervision, manage competing deadlines, and grow into expanded responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute accurate monthly financial statements for an assigned portfolio of entities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; record journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all assigned entities
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processing within assigned portfolio
  • Maintain debt schedules and ensure timely debt service payments
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitor budget-to-actual variances
  • Coordinate with external CPA firm to support preparation of tax returns and audit workpapers
  • Support VP of Finance on ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain an organized and audit-ready accounting filing system in accordance with Company standards

  • Active CPA license required
  • Highly organized with strong time management and the ability to manage multiple deadlines concurrently
