As a Sr. Network Engineer III (Unified Communications), you'll serve as a technical authority for voice, video, and collaboration platforms, contributing immediately as a subject-matter expert within a fast-paced operational environment. Success requires deep technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and strong team collaboration. This role provides senior unified communications engineering support for a highly visible, security-sensitive customer.
What you'll do:
  • Work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team delivering technical solutions supporting a highly visible federal mission environment
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise voice, video, and collaboration (Unified Communications) platforms.
  • Configure and support SBCs, voice gateways, dial plans, and QoS to ensure high-quality real-time voice and video traffic.
  • Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), able to support operational issues with minimal ramp-up time.
  • Participate in Agile execution and contribute to collaborative problem-solving efforts.
  • Communicate technical issues, risks, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively recommend technical improvements and architectural enhancements.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support mission operations with urgency, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Demonstrate the ability to contribute immediately in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and professionalism.
  • Apply creativity and innovation to deliver solutions that best fit customer needs and mission objectives.

Job Requirements
What you'll need to succeed:
  • Active U.S. Top Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
  • Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 441 Network Operations Specialist work role, such as Network+, Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, CISSP, or CCNP Security.
  • CCIE Collaboration strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leading or assisting in review, design, and implementation of network engineering solutions, with deep hands-on expertise supporting enterprise Unified Communications environments.
  • Demonstrated subject-matter expertise designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex voice, video, and collaboration platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Webex, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Hands-on experience supporting session border controllers, voice gateways, call routing, and ensuring Quality of Service for real-time traffic.
  • Hands-on experience with VQ Conference Manager, Jabber, Cisco telephony endpoints, and Cisco Expressway.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational voice and video issues in mission-critical environments with minimal ramp-up.
  • Ability to contribute immediately in a mission-critical operational environment.

This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.
SALARY RANGE: $230K - $342K
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation

This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies, which may include:
  • Performance-based bonuses
