What You'll Be Doing

The Senior Financial Analyst in Head Office Accounting oversees the complete intercompany billing and settlement processes across the bank's legal entities, addressing and resolving discrepancies while monitoring accounting functions and ensuring proper bank account reconciliation and suspense management. This role also supports the financial statement close process by making timely accounting entries in line with established policies and practices. Additionally, the analyst will help manages Share Capital Accounting and Reporting, providing necessary support for notes disclosure as needed. The position involves moderately complex accounting tasks that require sound judgment in applying relevant procedures and includes the responsibility of providing oversight to the work of an Accounting Analyst.

How You'll Succeed

  • Accounting and controls- You have strong business and analytical skills to assess and interpret business needs. You have good understanding of Financial Control framework to support and ensure integrity of financial data.
  • Relationship management- You have good communication, teamwork, partnership and relationship building skills sufficient to act in a collaborative manner with team members and stakeholders from different backgrounds and experiences. You will liaise regularly with outsource service provider, Treasury, Taxation, Policy, Audit, Governance and all Line of Businesses and Functional Groups.
  • Agility -You support agile accounting processes and controls to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Ensure changes in accounting policies/requirements are implemented in a controlled manner. Maintain up to date desk top procedures in accordance with best practices, regulatory requirements, SOX, and Internal Controls.
  • Data Management -You have good spreadsheet and database management skills, such as Oracles, Data Analytics, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau etc.
