Job description

Experienced Financial Advisor

Location: San Diego, CA | Company: Sagient Financial

Build the Practice You Envision—With the Right Support Behind You

Sagient is seeking an experienced financial advisor who wants greater ownership, flexibility, and support in growing a sophisticated financial practice.

Our advisors maintain the entrepreneurial freedom to build their businesses their way while gaining access to the planning capabilities, investment resources, advanced-market expertise, technology, marketing support, and transition guidance needed to scale.

Backed by the strength and stability of MassMutual, Sagient offers the resources of an established organization with the personal attention and agility of a boutique firm.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and manage long-term client relationships
  • Deliver holistic financial planning across investments, protection, retirement, estate, and business-planning needs
  • Grow and deepen your existing client relationships and assets under management
  • Collaborate with investment, advanced-planning, insurance, and practice-management specialists
  • Build your individual brand, team, or larger enterprise
  • Identify opportunities for referrals, strategic partnerships, and practice acquisitions
  • Maintain high standards of client service, compliance, and professional integrity
What Sagient Provides
  • Supported independence and flexibility in how you build your practice
  • A broad, open-architecture investment platform
  • Access to a Chief Investment Officer and advanced-planning resources
  • Dedicated transition support for licensing, onboarding, technology, and client segmentation
  • Marketing and practice-growth assistance
  • Resources for business-owner, executive-benefit, estate, and legacy-planning opportunities
  • Opportunities to build a team, mentor developing advisors, and create additional revenue streams
  • The financial strength and resources of MassMutual
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where advisor input is valued
Who We’re Looking For
  • An established financial advisor, wealth advisor, or financial-planning professional
  • Active securities licenses, including Series 7 and Series 66 or equivalent
  • Life and health insurance license preferred
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering financial solutions
  • A desire to grow, improve the client experience, and build a more scalable practice
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong professional judgment
  • A commitment to holistic, client-centered planning
  • Existing clients, assets under management, or a demonstrated record of business development preferred
This Opportunity May Be Right for You If You Want To
  • Retain greater ownership of your practice and client relationships
  • Expand beyond a limited product or investment platform
  • Increase your planning and wealth-management capabilities
  • Remove operational pain points that are limiting growth
  • Build a team, acquire another practice, or develop a succession strategy
  • Gain meaningful support without sacrificing your identity or independence

At Sagient, you do not have to choose between independence and infrastructure. You can own and build your practice your way—with experienced people, sophisticated resources, and a personalized transition strategy behind you.

Let’s explore what your practice could become!
