SyberJet Aircraft is an aerospace technology company focused on designing and manufacturing next-generation aircraft and aviation systems. We combine advanced engineering, manufacturing innovation, and cuttingโ€‘edge technology to build scalable aviation solutions for commercial, defense, and emerging mobility markets.

We are entering a critical growth phase involving aircraft development, certification, production scaling, and capital expansion. We are seeking a strategic and handsโ€‘on Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, fundraising, and capital planning.

Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for building and leading the companyโ€™s financial strategy, with a particular focus on capital raising, financial modeling, and longโ€‘term funding strategy required to support aircraft development, certification, and production scaling.

This role requires a leader who can operate at both the strategic and operational level, working closely with the CEO, board, investors, and leadership team to secure capital and ensure disciplined financial management across complex aerospace programs.

The CFO will develop robust financial models, manage investor relationships, structure funding rounds, and ensure the company maintains the financial infrastructure necessary to scale aircraft production.

Financial Modeling & Strategic Planning
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for aircraft development, certification, and production scaling.
  • Model capital requirements, manufacturing ramp, aircraft program economics, and longโ€‘term profitability.
  • Build models for:
    • Aircraft unit economics
    • Production ramp scenarios
    • Certification timelines
    • Capital expenditure planning
    • Market expansion strategies
  • Provide financial analysis to guide strategic decisions, investment prioritization, and risk management.
Capital Strategy & Fundraising
  • Lead all equity and debt fundraising activities, including venture capital, strategic investors, private equity, government funding, and project finance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, banks, and strategic partners.
  • Develop investor materials including pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence data rooms.
  • Structure and negotiate term sheets, financing agreements, and capital structures.
  • Identify and secure government grants, defense funding, and aerospace development programs.
  • Support strategic partnerships and joint ventures related to aircraft production and technology development.
Financial Operations & Infrastructure
  • Build and lead the companyโ€™s finance organization, including FP&A, accounting, treasury, and investor reporting.
  • Implement financial systems and controls suitable for a scaling aerospace manufacturer.
  • Oversee:
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Cash flow management
    • Cost accounting for aircraft production
    • Programโ€‘level financial tracking
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting.
Executive Leadership
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and capital allocation.
  • Present financial performance and strategy to the Board of Directors and investors.
  • Support longโ€‘term company objectives including aircraft certification, manufacturing scale, and global expansion.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
  • Proven experience leading fundraising rounds ($50M+ preferred).
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, capital structuring, and investor relations.
  • Experience supporting capitalโ€‘intensive technology or manufacturing businesses.
  • Strong understanding of venture capital and growthโ€‘stage financing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, advanced manufacturing, or hardware startups.
  • Background supporting aircraft programs, certification processes, or large engineering programs.
  • Experience securing government funding, defense contracts, or aerospace grants.
  • Previous experience as a CFO or VP Finance at a highโ€‘growth company.
