We’re hiring a Finance Assistant to join our team.

The Role
This role will initially be focused on assisting the Head of HR and Administration with all financial aspects associated with operating our firm and will be part-time (30–32 hours per week) to start. Once these job duties are mastered, the role has the opportunity to grow into a full-time position with additional responsibilities associated with the day-to-day administration of our business.  
 
These financial responsibilities include handling all accounts payable & receivable and logging all the financial data into QuickBooks or associated accounting software. Accounts payable/receivable would include keeping track of and paying all invoices to third party vendors in QuickBooks, writing checks for staff/attorneys, recording and processing incoming payments and preparing deposits. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong attention to detail and has an analytical mindset.  Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred. 
 
Job Duties Include:
•       Log all deposits and payments into the accounting system
•       Track accounts payable
•       Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues
•       Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
•       Write checks and prepare deposits
•       Prepare quarterly profit and loss statements
•       Assist with annual and quarterly tax filings as needed
•       Assist with payroll support
Other duties as assigned by the Head of HR and Administration.
 
Compensation & Benefits 
This is an hourly, part-time position 
•       Hourly pay range of $25–$34 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience
•       Part-time schedule of approximately 30–32 hours per week
Skills and Qualifications 
We are seeking a Finance Assistant who wants their professional life to reflect their faith.
 
•       College degree or relevant work experience 
•       Bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks or other software)
•       Accounting experience (not required, but preferred)
•       Strong attention to detail and process orientation
•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
•       Analytical mindset with a desire to make processes more efficient and/or automated
