Aspect is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Team in Denver, Colorado. This role is suited for a highly detail-oriented analyst with advanced financial modeling experience who can independently build, audit, and maintain complex cash flow, valuation, and scenario models across Aspect's portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to exercise sound financial judgment, challenge assumptions, and translate complex analyses into clear insights for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Design, build, and maintain detailed financial and cash flow models to analyze and evaluate any one of Aspect's businesses, assessing liquidity, performance and risks
  • Provide economic evaluation of new and existing projects, including full-cycle returns analysis (NPV, IRR, payout sensitivities) and assessment of key value drivers and downside risk 
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, including capital, operational, and general and administrative, ensuring they align with company goals
  • Provide monthly and quarterly budget to actual analysis to understand financial performance for capital, operational and general and administrative results
  • Contribute to presentations and other supporting materials, updating senior management and Board of Directors on performance of Aspect's businesses
  • Support existing reporting and compliance for loans
  • Team player who is willing to assist where needed with the ability to work independently


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or related field
  • Experience in upstream oil and gas required
  • International experience helpful
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word and experience with data analysis tools, such as Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and budgeting
  • A team player willing to assist where needed with the ability to work personally, proactively and independently to achieve results and use thoughtful judgement
  • Adept at finding common ground and buy-in through pro-active communication and frequent engagement
  • Experience with Aries or a similar petroleum reserves software a plus

  • Compensation Range: $140k - $180k total cash compensation depending on experience
