  • Identify recurring/manual accounting and close workflows (Journal Entries, reconciliations, roll-forwards, flux analysis) and redesign them for speed, quality, and auditability.

  • Build and implement automation using Excel/SQL and Python (where appropriate) and approved tooling to reduce cycle time and error rates (e.g., automated tie-outs, exception reporting, standardized JE support packages).

  • Develop controlled AI/LLM-enabled workflows to accelerate accounting and close deliverables (e.g., drafting flux explanations, summarizing exceptions), ensuring documented controls, traceability, and human-in-the-loop review.

  • Mine and reconcile data across systems, improving data quality through root-cause analysis and upstream fixes with process owners.

  • Build and maintain repeatable, versioned analysis assets (queries, datasets, templates/models) with documentation and clear data lineage.

System & Data Integration:

  • Support financial system transitions (e.g., Costpoint to D365) by defining reporting requirements, validating/tie-out outputs, and improving post-migration close/reporting workflows.

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Serve as a change agent with strong credibility and influence, collaborating with customer partners and domain specialists.

  • Clearly communicate results, assumptions, and controls to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
