DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Financial Analyst I, where you'll contribute to financial excellence and business growth. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making. As part of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll help manage monthly closing processes, develop forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare business reviews. This role offers opportunities to work with senior leadership and advance your career while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required in financial analysis in a corporate environment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
• Strong organizational skills
• Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets
