Job description

About the Role

The Financial Analyst supports ETBHN by preparing, reviewing, analyzing, presenting, and submitting financial and operational information for ETBHN staff and the Regional Oversight Committee. This position provides accurate, timely financial analysis and reporting to support program leaders in understanding program performance, resolving financial issues, evaluating operational results, and making informed financial and operational decisions.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare monthly invoice documentation for expenses and revenue, including telemedicine encounters; review provider and Center invoices for accuracy; and ensure supporting documentation is complete and consistent with established billing requirements.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of invoicing and financial information across reports and data sources; identify discrepancies, research root causes, and work with staff and member Centers to resolve issues.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and submit expense and revenue accruals to accounting for ETBHN programs, ensuring amounts are supported by appropriate financial and operational data.
  • Review preliminary financial statements for accuracy, research unusual balances or variances, submit necessary corrections, analyze and present final financial information to program directors, ETBHN leadership, committees, and the board.
  • Manage the monthly pharmacy financial inventory reporting and reconciliation process, including reconciling multiple inventory data sources, researching variances, validating inventory values and adjustments, supporting the annual physical inventory, and providing requested documentation to accounting and auditors.
  • Develop clear financial reports, analyses, presentations, and supporting materials for ETBHN staff, member Centers, committee meetings, and the Regional Oversight Committee, translating complex financial information into understandable information for both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Coordinate and gather financial information for the annual budget and assist with budget development, forecasting, financial projections, variance analysis, corrections, presentation, and submission to accounting.
  • Provide responsive customer service to member Centers and collaborate with ETBHN staff on financial research, special projects, and resolution of billing or financial questions.
  • Assist leadership with pricing analysis for new and existing services, including cost analysis, rate development, margin evaluation, financial projections, and assessment of proposed pricing changes.
  • Analyze program financial performance, including revenue, expenses, margins, trends, cost drivers, and operational results, and communicate significant findings to program leadership and ETBHN management.
  • Evaluate financial and administrative processes, identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency, develop reconciliation and validation controls, and assist with implementation of process improvements and automation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, including invoicing, financial reports, inventory, accruals, forecasting, budgeting, reconciliations, pricing analyses, and supporting records.
What You Need Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, or a related business function.
  • Valid Texas driver's license.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, research, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, PivotTables, data reconciliation, and working with large or complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to reconcile information from multiple systems or data sources, identify discrepancies, research root causes, and follow issues through resolution.
  • Ability to learn complex program operations and understand how operational activities affect financial results, billing, inventory, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Experience with financial process improvement, data transformation, or workflow automation tools such as Power Query is preferred.
