Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
You start your day collaborating with a small, agile finance team, aligning on priorities across financial reporting, accounting accuracy, and digital initiatives. You may be reconciling accounts, analyzing cost structures, or validating month-end results-then shift to improving automated reports, supporting SAP enhancements, or developing new dashboards that provide real-time visibility into factory performance.
You work closely with accounting, operations, IT, and project teams to ensure financial data is accurate, compliant, and future-ready. Your work directly supports operational decision-making while laying the foundation for scalable, efficient finance and accounting processes.
How You'll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve digital finance and accounting processes that support factory operations and long-term growth
  • Support general accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end close
  • Contribute to the rollout, stabilization, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA, ensuring strong integration between controlling and accounting
  • Ensure financial data integrity, compliance, and internal control effectiveness in line with company policies and audit requirements
  • Support financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling
  • Develop and enhance automated financial and management reporting, leveraging analytics, visualization tools, and emerging technologies
  • Identify inefficiencies in finance and accounting workflows and actively drive process standardization and automation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, procurement, IT, and project management to align financial and accounting processes with business needs

What You Bring (requirements)
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field with strong financial orientation
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, including experience with financial statements, reconciliations, and close processes
  • Strong technical foundation in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), with exposure to digitalization, automation, data analytics, or AI-driven finance tools
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and financial compliance standards
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data and financial reporting
  • Proactive, solution-oriented communicator with a collaborative mindset and clear ambition to grow into a future finance or accounting leader
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
