About the role:The Financial Analyst has the responsibility of providing financial analysis, reporting to site controller. Develop and implement systems, process, and financial models to support management. This is a US-only role. We will consider remote candidates, with a preference for a candidate local to Columbia, SC, who can work a mobile or hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly financial forecasting and annual budgeting processes, collaborating with operations and cost center managers.
  • Analyze cost trends, spending patterns, and important operational drivers to identify risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis of actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior year performance, providing relevant recommendations to management.
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve cost performance, enhance productivity, and guide operational efficiencies.
  • Develop financial models supporting business planning, investment decisions, capacity planning, and projects.
  • Prepare monthly operating review (MOR) packages, forecast updates, and management presentations highlighting necessary financial drivers and performance trends.
  • Monitor cost center spending and provide financial guidance to managers to ensure agreement on budget and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA.
  • 4 plus years of broad-based finance experience, in analytical roles.
  • Proven track record concerning knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs
  • A general understanding of systems and data quality
  • Experience building FP&A models (proficient in Excel)
  • Analyze complex financial information to provide accurate information for decision-making purposes
  • Questions and challenges status quo to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
