Position Summary:

This internship/co-op offers a hands-on, practical experience in program pricing for a motivated and detail-oriented finance candidate. The Finance Analyst Co-Op will work directly with senior leaders to support the development and evaluation of pricing models across the company’s satellite telecommunications programs. Responsibilities include analyzing cost elements, reviewing program bill of materials (BOMs), labor estimates, and overhead structures, and incorporating market and competitive insights into pricing recommendations. The successful candidate will help ensure pricing strategies align with corporate objectives, regulatory standards, and customer value expectations while contributing to profitability in a dynamic aerospace and telecommunications environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic scenario modeling, margin reviews, and profitability estimations to support team and leadership discussions.
  • Help update and refine pricing models for satellite hardware, software, services, and telecommunications programs under guidance from senior staff.
  • Support the creation and organization of pricing documentation to build a clear foundation for future analysis.
  • Perform introductory cost analysis by gathering data from engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to help establish accurate pricing baselines.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation by assembling pricing inputs, cost summaries, and preliminary risk considerations.
  • Learn and follow government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, ITAR) and internal standards to ensure pricing activities remain compliant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how pricing aligns with customer needs and overall business goals.
  • Prepare draft pricing reports and presentations to communicate findings and observations to leadership.
  • Participate in efforts to improve pricing tools, templates, and processes by providing feedback and helping test updates.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Specifically pivot tables and V Lookup and other financial analysis tools.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex pricing data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s degree program (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred)
