Title: Financial Analyst Department: Finance
Location: Austin, TX / Hybrid
POSITION SUMMARY
Open Lending Corporation (NASDAQ: LPRO) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting directly to the Sr Manager of FP&A, this individual will support the full spectrum of FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting for a publicly traded financial technology company.
This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an emerging finance professional to gain meaningful exposure to the financial operations of a public company, collaborate with cross-functional business partners, and develop a strong foundation in corporate FP&A best practices.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the preparation of the Company's annual operating plan and quarterly forecast updates, including the consolidation of inputs across business units.
  • Maintain and update financial models used to project revenue, operating expenses, and key performance indicators in Adaptive/Workday Planning.
  • Support variance analysis processes, identifying and clearly communicating drivers of budget-to-actual deviations.
  • Partner with operational and revenue-facing departments to gather financial inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment between operational activity and financial projections.
  • Develop a working understanding of the Company's revenue model, cost structure, and key business drivers to provide relevant analytical support to business stakeholders.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Continuously improve financial reporting templates, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and analytical quality.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including Board of Directors materials and investor-facing financial summaries.
  • Maintain financial schedules and data integrity across internal reporting deliverables.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field required.
  • One to three (1-3) years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, public accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within a public company environment or financial services / fintech company is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards; exposure to SEC reporting or public company financial processes is a plus.
  • Prior internship or work experience in a Big Four, consulting, or investment environment is a plus.

Tools & Systems
  • Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency required, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and large data set manipulation.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: Strong working knowledge required; ability to construct clear, professional-quality presentations.
  • Adaptive Insights (Workday Adaptive Planning): Exposure or hands-on experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Financials) is advantageous.
