Job description

Overview
Financial Reporting Analysts specialize in areas that provide support to the Director, Financial Reporting in the preparation of internal and external management reports. They assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, external SEC filings (10-Ks and 10-Qs), and supplemental data information. Financial Reporting Analysts also research technical accounting issues by reviewing documentation issued by the FASB, SEC, PCAOB, AICPA, or other authoritative body and analyze, review and reconcile financial information to the general ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Duties
  • Handles accounting journal entries and financial analytics for various specialized areas (Essential)
  • Reconciles assigned balance sheet accounts, prepares supporting work papers for the external audit, and follows-up on outstanding issues (Essential)
  • Prepares various monthly internal reports (Essential)
  • Performs various tasks related to the consolidation of subsidiary financial statements (Essential)
  • Assists in the preparation and timely submission of required SEC filings (8-Ks, 10-Ks and proxy) and supplemental reporting/press releases
  • Assists in researching accounting regulations and SEC disclosure requirements; provides technical accounting consultation to internal team members regarding US GAAP and practical implementation thereof
  • Assists in the administration of stock compensation programs
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
  • 2 years in experience with general ledger, financial statements, and analytical responsibilities (Required)
  • 6 months in prior experience preparing 10-Ks and 10-Qs (Preferred)
  • 6 months in real estate experience (Preferred)
  • 6 months in experience with Workiva (Preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply accounting principles
  • Preferred Certifications/Licensures:(Certified Public Accountant (CPA))
