Under the general guidance of the Controller - Americas FP&A, Marine & Switchgear, this Finance Associate - SG&A & CapEx position provides financial and analytical support with direct business partnership across Power Systems North America.

The Finance Associate - SG&A & CapEx is responsible for indirect expense management including engineering and development projects, selling and marketing, advertising adherence, systems and BES investments, and unit administrative costs. In addition, this position leads the capital planning process for Power Systems North America, including annual target setting, project-level investment planning, and monthly forecasting and adherence.

This Finance Associate - SG&A & CapEx role will also provide dedicated financial ownership of the Switchgear business, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while partnering closely with business leaders to drive financial discipline and informed decision-making.

Location: 200 Twin Oaks Road Kohler WI 53044

Work mode: Hybrid 2-3 days on site

Responsibilities:

  • Business partner with functional leaders across engineering, development, marketing, selling, systems, BES, and administrative teams. Provide objective, data-driven financial analysis to support decision-making and ensure alignment to financial commitments.

  • Lead the planning, development, and consolidation of indirect expense budgets and forecasts.

  • Partner with Engineering, Finance, HR, Marketing and Selling teams on budget development, headcount planning, and ongoing spend management.

  • Drive governance and adherence to advertising budgets and policies.

  • Lead capital planning for Power Systems North America including annual targets, project consolidation, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.

  • Establish and enforce monthly capital forecasting rigor.

  • Partner with project owners to ensure accountability and disciplined capital execution.

  • Support systems and BES initiatives through financial tracking and forecasting.

  • Provide monthly variance analysis across indirect expenses and capital.

  • Develop reporting tools and dashboards for expense and capital performance.

  • Own the financials for the Switchgear business including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Support monthly close activities including accruals and journal entry adherence.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and cost management.

  • Execute special projects as directed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required

  • 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, cost management, or capital planning

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities

  • Advanced Excel and SAP experience preferred

  • Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, industrial, or engineered products industry experience.

  • Experience supporting engineering organizations, product development, or capital-intensive operations.

  • Experience with headcount planning, labor forecasting, and indirect cost management.

  • Knowledge of capital investment evaluation methods, including ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analysis.

  • Experience supporting month-end close activities, journal entries, and accruals.

The Salary range for this position is $69,800.00-$87,950.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
