The manager collaborates with various stakeholders, coordinates project teams, and ensures that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Their work often includes digital transformation, process optimization, and regulatory compliance within the finance function.

Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager, Finance & ERP Transformation is a senior project delivery leader within the PMO responsible for managing complex Oracle Fusion ERP and enterprise transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams. This role drives delivery from initiation through go-live and stabilization, ensuring tight schedule management, strong cross-functional coordination, proactive risk and issue escalation, and disciplined governance throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires someone who can understand technical concepts, dependencies, and delivery risks well enough to coordinate effectively across functional, technical, integration, data, and testing teams, but who is not expected to serve as the hands-on technical lead or provide technical solution ownership. Success is defined by on-time execution, stakeholder alignment, effective governance, and sustainable business adoption of ERP-enabled change.
What you'll do:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for Oracle Fusion ERP implementations, enhancements, migrations, and transformation programs from charter through go-live and hypercare.
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and maintain an integrated project plan covering business, functional, technical, data, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Build and maintain core project management deliverables including schedules, milestone plans, RAID logs, dependency trackers, RACI matrices, and executive status reporting.
  • Coordinate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, systems integrators, and vendor partners to align scope, timing, deliverables, and decisions.
  • Facilitate planning, requirements, fit-gap, and workstream checkpoint sessions with functional leads and business process owners.
  • Drive governance routines, executive updates, decision forums, and escalation paths, while clearly communicating risks, issues, dependencies, and required actions.
  • Actively manage the project schedule, critical path, overdue actions, and cross-workstream blockers to keep delivery on track.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across integrations, reporting, data migration, testing, cutover, and deployment without acting as the technical authority for solution design.
  • Partner with program leadership and finance stakeholders on budget tracking, forecast updates, variance reporting, and go-live readiness activities.
  • Manage vendor and systems integrator performance against plans, milestones, and contractual commitments.
Required qualifications:
  • 6+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years leading ERP programs or large enterprise transformation initiatives in mid-to-large organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Oracle Fusion ERP projects or closely related Oracle ERP transformation programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining a tightly controlled integrated schedule and clear accountability across teams.
  • Strong understanding of ERP delivery lifecycles, including planning, design, build, test, data migration, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, integration dependencies, environment readiness, data migration risks, and testing implications sufficiently to coordinate teams and drive delivery, without being the primary technical resource.
  • Strong command of project management fundamentals including scope, schedule, RAID management, dependency tracking, status reporting, and governance.
  • Experience working with executive sponsors, business process owners, IT leaders, vendors, and third-party systems integrators.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, with the ability to drive action and elevate issues clearly and promptly.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • We are ONLY seeking candidates local to the Bay Area (and willing to commute to San Mateo, CA). At this time, we will not be relocating candidates.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in a PMO or enterprise transformation office supporting large cross-functional programs is preferred. Experience with Oracle Fusion workstreams such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Projects, HCM, or Reporting/Analytics is helpful. Additional value comes from cloud ERP transformation experience, enterprise governance exposure, and prior experience as a business analyst, functional lead, or ERP power user.
