Finance, Real Estate, and Law – Assistant Professor

Location: Pomona
Categories: Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Tenured/Tenure-Track, Full Time, Faculty - Business/Management, On-site (work in-person at business location)

Position description: The new faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate and finance. The successful candidate must also have a strong commitment to research and scholarly activities, and service to the Department, College, University and Community. Applicants whose work incorporates a global perspective and a commitment to diversity in higher education are particularly encouraged to apply.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field at the time of appointment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff and faculty from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence
  • Demonstrated potential to publish in peer-reviewed journals
  • Demonstrated potential to contribute to the excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and/or service

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Evidence of developing and/or advising student-focused experiential learning activities
  • Expertise in finance
  • Previous peer-reviewed journal publications in Real Estate and Finance
  • Teaching experience at university level
