Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance

The Department of Finance in the Martha and Spence Love School of Business (LSB) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance (Teaching Track) position beginning in Fall 2026. Candidates with specialization in any area of finance are encouraged to apply, particularly those with significant professional experience in finance or related industries. This faculty position is a 9-month, non-tenure-track position. Elon offers a salary commensurate with qualifications, an excellent benefits package, and a generous retirement plan.

The teaching load is seven courses per year, including courses in Finance and Elon's Core Curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver engaged, applied, and student-centered instruction, mentor students, contribute to departmental and university initiatives, and engage in professional service and outreach consistent with Elon's teacher-scholar model. We especially welcome candidates who can connect professional practice to classroom learning, including areas such as corporate finance, investments, financial planning, banking, fintech, real estate, insurance, or related fields.

A master's degree or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. Relevant professional experience is required for candidates without a Ph.D. and is strongly preferred for all candidates. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and student engagement.
