Business Finance
What you'll do
Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager / Sr. Manager to accelerate the execution and scaling of AI and automation across Finance. This role is responsible for delivering measurable business outcomes within defined Finance processes by redesigning workflows and deploying AI-enabled solutions.
This role blends Finance process knowledge with strong AI and data fluency. It includes direct engagement with the CFO on priority requests and deliverables and drives implementation of generative AI and agentic AI solutions using a human-in-the-loop approach to ensure control and auditability.
This role will serve as a driver for implementing new AI and automation solutions within Finance, focused on turning identified opportunities into production-ready solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance decision-making.
This is a hands-on execution role, acting as a single-threaded owner for selected Finance transformation areas.
The role partners closely with Controllers, FP&A, IT, and Data teams, and serves as a bridge between business needs and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own Delivery of Priority Finance AI Use Cases
• Serve as single-threaded owner for defined Finance transformation areas (e.g., process automation, controls, close activities, or transaction workflows)
• Accountable for delivering measurable outcomes, including moving initiatives from pilot to full production deployment
• Provide support on CFO-priority requests and deliverables, as needed
2. Evaluate and Prioritize Opportunities
• Partner with Finance process owners to evaluate and prioritize defined problem areas and automation opportunities
• Assess opportunities based on:
o scale and repeatability
o data availability
o feasibility and control considerations
• Maintain a focused pipeline aligned with Finance priorities
3. Redesign End-to-End Finance Processes
• Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to eliminate manual effort and improve data flow
• Redesign processes leveraging AI, automation, and digital tools
• Focus on end-to-end improvements, not point solutions
4. Lead Execution from Concept to Production
• Take solutions from concept and pilot through full production deployment
• Execute proof-of-value pilots using real data and targeted scope
• Apply a human-in-the-loop approach: AI performs first-pass analysis and automation, with Finance providing oversight, validation, and exception handling
• Assess results and determine whether to scale solutions or discontinue low-impact initiatives
• Standardize and scale successful solutions across Finance
5. Translate Business Needs into Solutions
• Act as a bridge between Finance, IT, and Data teams
• Convert defined business problems into actionable solution requirements
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to design and implement solutions
6. Ensure Controls, Compliance, and Audit Readiness
• Embed SOX, audit, and data governance requirements into AI-enabled workflows
• Partner with Controllers and Internal Audit to ensure compliance and auditability
• Maintain clear documentation and process transparency
7. Drive Adoption and Sustainment
• Develop training materials, playbooks, and best practices
• Support adoption of AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, agents, and automation workflows)
• Monitor usage and effectiveness to ensure sustained impac
Who we're looking for
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of AI and data concepts, including generative AI and agentic approaches
  • Strong understanding of core Finance processes (e.g., close, SOX, FP&A) and underlying data flows
  • Experience leading process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives
  • Experience working with IT, data, or analytics teams
  • Proven ability to execute cross-functional projects and deliver measurable results

Key Competencies
  • Strong execution focus with ability to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Structured problem solving and process orientation
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in ambiguous environments
  • Balance of innovation with control and compliance requirements
  • Effective communication across business and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate AI solution feasibility, data requirements, and implementation approaches within a Finance environment

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience applying AI in process improvement, automation, or technology-enabled Finance initiatives
  • Familiarity with foundational model ecosystems (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini) and their application in business workflows
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools, with ability to explore and apply solutions to business processes
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC or S/4HANA) and Finance data environments
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar tools
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
