We're partnering with a leading manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Capex Finance Operations Expert to support high-impact capital investment initiatives. This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines strong financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations and capital project evaluation.

You'll serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Operations, Engineering, and executive leadership, helping evaluate major capital investments, develop business cases, and ensure projects deliver operational and financial value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models, investment analyses, and business cases for capital projects
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to evaluate equipment investments, capacity expansion, automation, and productivity initiatives
  • Analyze project economics, including ROI, payback, cost savings, and working capital impacts
  • Support capital planning, forecasting, project tracking, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with established Capex governance, approval processes, and documentation standards
  • Translate technical and operational information into executive-level financial recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize capital allocation and identify project risks

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting Capex planning, financial modeling, business case development, and project tracking
  • Strong manufacturing finance background within a capital-intensive environment
  • Experience partnering with Operations, Engineering, Plant Leadership, and Executive Management
  • Advanced financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis skills
  • Experience supporting equipment investments, plant expansions, automation, or operational improvement projects
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with a large ERP system (Oracle or similar preferred)
  • Packaging or rigid plastics industry experience is highly preferred
