Job description

SUMMARY

This position will actively partner with multiple departments (Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce and Supply Chain) and perform financial analyses to help drive strategic decision-making and profitable growth for Buff City Soap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report on sales across all relevant dimensions (e.g., channels/stores, products, customers); translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform decision making (e.g., assortment, pricing, promotions)
  • Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and period results reports
  • Serve as an analytical thought partner to commercial leaders; create ad hoc financial analyses to support organizational decision making, aligning Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and eCommerce perspectives into a single source of truth
  • Analyze industry and competitive trends and make recommendations based on those trends
  • Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

BASIC & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics or a related discipline
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Marketing, Merchandising or Analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills required, knowledge and experience with SQL & BI/Data Visualization tools is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & TRAVEL

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/ standing
  • Constantly operates a computer or other office equipment
  • Travel: Rarely (Less than 10%)
