Responsibilities

Summary:
The Pricing Manager primarily develops pricing models and customer narratives for Reentry Services bids for numerous government contracts. The Pricing Manager leads the work with various departments as well as using internal systems and cost analysis to complete pricing models and proposal documents within stated deadlines. This position is expected to see bids through completion responding to customer inquiries and will work under the oversight of the Director of Finance

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Pricing Manager develops financial models and customer proposal documents that are accurate and timely which suit each unique customer proposal requirements and corporate financial goals.
  • Sets up strategy, staffing, and pricing meetings.
  • The Pricing Manager gathers information from various departments such as human resources, operations, partnership development, finance, real estate, and project development.
  • Evaluates the financial aspects of staffing costs, expenditures, and return-on-investment and profit projections.
  • The Pricing Manager determines the impact of financial or operational changes in existing operations.
  • Evaluates and communicates pricing strategies in line with company goals while understanding customer constraints to obtain the most favorable terms on new and rebid business.
  • The Pricing Manager implements pricing strategies when supported by various departments and senior management.
  • Develops pricing presentations and recommendations for management.
  • The Pricing Manger leads the proposal team in customer communications such as RFP questions, cost narratives, cost forms, and bid documentation as well as participates in customer discussions and negotiations whenever possible.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests for information from customers regarding pricing and contract budgets.
  • The Pricing Manager researches historical contract/proposal/customer correspondence, develops project cost information (i.e. including wages through local salary research, wage determinations, HR market surveys, and Operations input; programming; capex; food service; fringe benefits; real estate; etc.), and completes pricing models and cost forms.
  • Analyzes competitor per diems, staffing, and costs through various public contract records systems, and FOIA documents to create competitive offerings.
  • The Pricing Manager strategically uses internal systems to gain insight on staffing/wages, fixed assets, real estate leases, forecast/budget details, contract databases, previous proposals, and invoice/billing details.
  • Assists Human Resources and Operations to determine the viability of labor changes such as wage increases.
  • The Pricing Manager supports analysis for protests of unsuccessful awards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting. MBA degree designation preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in financial analysis, pricing, finance, or accounting.
  • Considerable experience in utilizing the capabilities of financial systems, excel spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and within groups. Must be able to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to adapt easily to a variety of changing deadlines and projects.
  • Ability to plan for, prioritize, manage, and execute work assignments, utilizing self-discipline and motivation, for completing work within expected performance parameters and timelines.
  • Ability to make clear and effective public presentations of complex budget and financial issues to diverse audiences.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Solid written and oral communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department such as Hyperion.
