Job description

Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide support for contract tracking, funding reconciliation, invoice monitoring, and financial execution reporting. This position supports government contract and resource management activities by maintaining visibility of contract funding, obligations, expenditures, burn rates, period of performance, modifications, and remaining balances. 


This role provides analysis and recommendations for government review and does not approve invoices, certify funds, obligate resources, direct contractors, or perform inherently governmental functions. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track contract funding, obligations, expenditures, commitments, invoices, and remaining balances.
  • Reconcile contract data across financial systems, contract documents, funding records, invoices, and internal trackers.
  • Monitor contract execution by CLIN, ACRN, task order, funding line, period of performance, and appropriation, as applicable.
  • Identify discrepancies between contract funding, invoice activity, obligation data, expenditure data, and available balances.
  • Support invoice review by validating financial data, identifying potential mismatches, and preparing issues for government review.
  • Maintain contract trackers, funding logs, spend plans, burn-rate reports, invoice status reports, and reconciliation files.
  • Track contract modifications, funding adjustments, de-obligations, expiring funds, and unfunded requirements.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards showing contract execution status, funding risks, reconciliation issues, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with government personnel and approved stakeholders to gather data, validate records, and resolve documentation gaps.
  • Support data calls, financial reviews, audit readiness, internal controls, and contract closeout documentation. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, public administration, or related field. 

  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.  


Specialized Experience, Qualified candidates should have experience with several of the following: 

  • Contract tracking, funding reconciliation, or budget execution support.  
  • Monitoring obligations, expenditures, invoices, commitments, and available balances.  
  • Reconciling financial data across systems, spreadsheets, funding documents, and contract records.  
  • Tracking CLINs, ACRNs, task orders, contract modifications, periods of performance, or invoice status.  
  • Preparing contract execution reports, burn-rate analysis, financial trackers, or reconciliation summaries.  
  • Identifying funding discrepancies, documentation gaps, expired funds risk, or execution concerns.  
  • Using Microsoft Excel or similar tools to analyze, reconcile, and report financial data.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DoD, Army, or federal contract financial management.  
  • Familiarity with contract funding documents, purchase requests, obligations, invoices, modifications, and closeout actions.  
  • Experience with GFEBS, PIEE/WAWF, SPS/PD2, EDA, ADVANA, or other financial or contract reporting systems.  
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation worksheets, and data validation.  
  • Knowledge of PPBE, budget execution, audit readiness, internal controls, or fiscal year funding rules.  
  • Active security clearance.

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete

daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
