Automotive Finance Manager Job Description
Position Summary
The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for assisting customers with financing and protection product options while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, lender, and dealership regulations. This position works closely with the sales team, lenders, and customers to secure financing approvals. Additionally, fully explain the factory warranties and/or dealership coverages and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Present financing and leasing options to customers.
  • Secure financing approvals through banks, credit unions, and manufacturer lending sources.
  • Structure deals to meet lender and dealership requirements.
  • Present and sell finance and insurance (F&I) products, including:
    • Vehicle Service Contracts
    • GAP Protection
    • Tire & Wheel Protection
    • Maintenance Plans
    • Other approved aftermarket products
  • Prepare and process all required financing, leasing, and titling documentation.
  • Ensure all deals comply with federal, state, lender, and dealership regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete deal files.
  • Review contracts for accuracy before funding.
  • Work with lenders to obtain approvals and resolve stipulations.
  • Monitor funding status and assist in collecting outstanding documents.
  • Maintain strong relationships with lending institutions and product providers.
  • Collaborate with sales managers and sales consultants to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Achieve departmental profitability and product penetration goals.
  • Stay current on finance products, lender programs, and compliance requirements.
