What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a finance manager at an RV dealership?

A Finance Manager at an RV dealership needs strong financial analysis, sales acumen, and in-depth knowledge of lending and regulatory compliance, often supported by a degree in finance, business, or a related field. Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS), loan origination software, and relevant certifications such as AFIP or F&I certification is typically required. These skills ensure legal compliance, maximize dealership profitability, and deliver a positive customer experience throughout the financing process.

What are some unique challenges a finance manager faces when working at an RV dealership compared to other automotive sectors?

A Finance Manager at an RV dealership often navigates more complex financing structures due to the higher price points and longer loan terms typical of RV purchases. Customers may have more specialized questions about warranties, insurance, and seasonal usage, requiring tailored financial solutions. Additionally, RV dealerships frequently work with a diverse range of lenders and must stay updated on changing financial products specific to recreational vehicles. Collaboration with sales teams is vital to ensure customers receive clear explanations and a seamless purchasing experience.

Job description

Description

Premium luxury brand | Income Potential: $72,000 - $180,000+ Annually | Veterans encouraged to apply

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

You're not just working at a dealership. You're representing one of the world's most iconic luxury brands and a team that takes that responsibility seriously.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  •  Guide guests through financing, leasing, and protection product options with transparency and professionalism
  •  Structure deals accurately and efficiently, coordinating with sales and lending partners to ensure smooth transactions
  •  Present and sell F&I products -- including VSC, GAP, and maintenance -- using a menu-based process
  •  Build and maintain strong lender relationships to deliver competitive financing options for every guest
  •  Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and manufacturer regulations on every deal
  •  Partner with the sales team to capture 100% of finance transactions and deliver a seamless handoff experience
  •  Maintain clean, accurate deal documentation and fund contracts within established timelines
  •  Contribute to a culture where the guest experience doesn't end at the sales desk -- it continues through delivery

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  •  2+ years of Finance Manager experience in a franchised dealership (luxury brand experience a strong plus)
  •  Proven performance in PVR, VSC penetration, GAP penetration, and lender diversification
  •  Deep knowledge of menu selling, compliance standards (Reg Z, TILA, FCRA), and deal structure
  •  Strong communicator -- able to build trust with guests quickly and present options with confidence and clarity
  •  Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred
  •  Active state F&I license, or the ability to obtain one prior to start
  •  A hospitality mindset -- you protect the guest's interests and the dealership's integrity at the same time

WHAT WE OFFER

  •  Income potential of $72,000 - $180,000+ per year OTE
  •  Compensation structured competitively for the market
  •  Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  •  Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
  •  Paid time off and paid holidays
  •  Paid manufacturer and F&I product training
  •  Clear career path -- strong F&I Managers grow into director and multi-store leadership roles at Swickard
  •  Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
  •  A team culture built on standards, accountability, and genuine care for one another

WHY SWICKARD

  •  We represent the most recognized luxury brands on the planet -- the guests who walk through our doors are serious buyers
  •  Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry
  •  We run with systems, standards, and centralized support -- so you spend your time producing, not putting out fires
  •  Our HEART values aren't a poster on the wall -- they shape how we hire, how we lead, and how we serve every guest
  •  Leadership here is invested in your growth -- you'll have the tools, the training, and the backing to perform at your best
  •  A culture where hospitality and performance aren't in tension -- they drive each other

Our guests expect a premium experience. Our brands demand one and Swickard is built to deliver it. This is a store with real volume, a loyal guest base, and a group behind it that knows how to support a high performer. We don't just talk about hospitality -- we build the systems, the culture, and the team to make it real every day.

If you're an F&I professional who takes pride in doing the job right -- for the guest and for the business -- this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
