Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 + 15% Annual Bonus

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing manufacturing organization in Portage, Indiana. This newly created role will play a critical part in financial planning, inventory accounting, tax compliance, and operational finance. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance leader who enjoys partnering with operations, purchasing, and executive leadership to drive business performance and support continued growth.
ResponsibilitiesLead the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Analyze actual financial results versus budget and forecast, identifying key variances and business drivers.
Develop a thorough understanding of the company's cost structure and provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership.
Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts while ensuring accurate inventory accounting and valuation.
Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to monitor inventory levels, analyze cost trends, and improve operational performance.
Oversee fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital project reporting.
Manage all tax compliance activities, including tax filings, reporting, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Drive process improvements that strengthen internal controls, improve reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and company growth.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA required.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong expertise in inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
Experience managing fixed assets, capital expenditures, and depreciation accounting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems required.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
Willingness to travel approximately 15% as business needs require.
