Position Overview:

CFT Recycling is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and performance. Reporting to the CEO, this senior leadership role will drive financial decision-making, support business growth, and oversee the organization's overall financial health.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and accounting team, the Director of Finance will provide strategic leadership while serving as a backup for key financial functions when required. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong financial expertise, business acumen, and a proven ability to support organizational growth.

This role offers a salary range of $120,000–$160,000, based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, and performance management.

Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.

Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making and business growth.

Monitor key financial and operational metrics, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, internal controls, and risk management practices.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while supporting succession planning.

Partner with the Financial Controller to ensure continuity of financial operations and provide backup support when required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

CPA designation is required.

10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.

Minimum 5+ years in a senior financial leadership role.

Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Experience in manufacturing, industrial, recycling, transportation, or related industries is considered an asset.

Advanced proficiency with financial systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
