We achieve this through our Food Safety and Quality Program. This program includes establishing measurable objectives for product safety and quality, along with employee training and development programs.

Role Summary: The Finance Intern will assist the finance and accounting team with day-to-day activities, including financial analysis, reporting, budgeting support, and data entry/reconciliation. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to corporate finance and accounting in a mid-sized business environment. The intern will work under close supervision and receive training and feedback throughout the internship.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports (e.g., variance analyses, KPI dashboards, management reports).
  • Help analyze revenue, cost, and margin trends by product line, customer segment, or facility.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis for operations, sales, and management.
  • Assist with data entry, account reconciliations, and basic journal entries under supervision.
  • Help reconcile bank statements, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) subledgers to the general ledger.
  • Support monthend close activities (e.g., accruals, prepaids, expense classifications), as appropriate for an intern role.
  • Help compile data for annual budget and periodic forecast updates.
  • Assist with updating budget templates, collecting input from departments, and comparing actual vs. budgeted performance.
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and financial models with current data.
  • Assist with documentation and improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
  • Support invoice/expense review workflows and help ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Perform other related duties as reasonably assigned, consistent with internlevel work.
  • Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Typically completed at least 12 years, or equivalent coursework in accounting/finance.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable working with numbers and large data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, charts); familiarity with other Office tools (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team in a fastpaced environment.
