Job description

Join adidas and play a key role in transforming how Finance operates through technology. This role will have ownership of end-to-end solutions that influence business outcomes through modern delivery practices. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tech Consultant with experience in SAP FICO and/or advanced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) planning tools such as IBM Planning Analytics and/or SAP Planning Analytics. This role supports the planning, development, and implementation of business solutions by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and delivering technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency and aligns with strategic goals. You’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams in a collaborative, global environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from key stakeholders. 
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, use cases, workflows, and data models to guide solution design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Development/Engineering, QA, and Operations. 
  • Leverage experience with SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, or others) to support business process enhancements. 
  • Apply expertise in advanced Planning Analytics tools to support forecasting, planning, and performance management initiatives. 
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations to share findings and recommendations. 
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose scalable, technology-driven solutions. 
  • Support testing efforts, including writing test cases and coordinating UAT. 
  • Track project progress and assist PMs with status reporting and documentation. 
  • Provide training and post-implementation support to business users.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Finance, or related field. 
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Business or Systems Analyst or similar role (or more senior BA experience). 
  • Hands-on experience with SAP FICO (preferably in multiple modules). 
  • Strong Finance background (month-end close, P&L, cash flow, accounting fundamentals).
  • Experience with enterprise planning and forecasting platforms, including SAP APO, SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning), and/or IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools such as SQL, relational databases, Databricks, and Power BI preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT service management and application support tools, including ServiceNow
  • Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday.
