Examples of Duties What you'll do - Key Responsibilities Review and audit accounts, cash receipts, payroll & other accounting records and transactions Review, prepare and enter journal entries for recording in the accounting system Reconcile financial ledgers & bank records Create financial statements & reports, general and subsidiary ledgers (and supporting schedules) Research and resolve discrepancies Reconcile taxes withheld, prepare monthly and quarterly government reporting Assist with the annual audit Oversee the annual business licensing process Typical Qualifications You Have (Knowledge & Abilities): Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of governmental accounting experience Ability to pass an extensive background check Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel Tyler Technologies experience a plus What sets you apart Love for numbers and solving problems Experience in a professional team Excellent communication skills.
