About the Role:

We're looking for a Manager, Finance & Accounting Operations to serve as the operational lead for Select Management Group. You will own the execution of our financial operations and the day-to-day workload of the accounting function.

You will partner closely with our SVP of Finance & Operations and work in coordination with a shared services accounting team, serving as Select's internal authority on everything from Revenue Operations, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Financial Reporting, and Compliance.

What You'll Do:

Revenue Operations and Accounts Receivables (AR)

  • Ownership of company's end-to-end revenue operations cycle, invoicing through cash application, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Ensure all revenue is invoiced accurately and on time, with proper handling of contract terms, commission structures, and fee deductions
  • Lead collections and cash chasing efforts with effective management of outstanding and overdue invoices
  • Maintain a clean and current Accounts Receivable (AR) ledger, with proactive management of outstanding balances and escalation of aging items through collections efforts
  • Proactively identify opportunities to accelerate collections, optimize payment timing, and improve overall liquidity
  • Serve as the escalation point for billing disputes, remittance discrepancies, short pays, and unidentified cash receipts (UCR)

Payment Operations and Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursements
  • Manage Talent payment operations, ensuring accuracy of statements, proper application of fee deductions and attributions, and timely disbursement
  • Serve as primary contact and liaison between Select and Talent, clients, and key external stakeholders
  • Ensure commission calculations are accurate and consistent with underlying Talent agreements - checking both internal attribution and external distribution
  • Coordinate with finance leadership on weekly payment runs and cash management

Team Leadership and Systems Improvement

  • Directly manage a team of offshore accounting specialists, setting clear standards for accuracy, turnaround time, and escalation
  • Identify and close gaps, implement procedures and workflows that reduce errors & exceptions
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of core finance platforms and tools
  • Build and maintain documented workflows and SOPs across all core finance and accounting functions
  • Maintain compliance with internal financial policies and controls

Accounting Support and Financial Reporting

  • Partner with shared services accounting on monthly close process to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and maintain regular financial reports for internal leadership, including Talent Reporting, Talent Manager Reporting, and ad hoc analyses
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders across the business
  • Support budgeting and financial planning activities in partnership with SVP of Finance & Operations

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with meaningful exposure to the full accounting cycle
  • Experience managing teams, including offshore or distributed staff
  • Deep familiarity with AR, AP, Revenue Operations, and Financial Reporting in a high-volume, multi-entity, and multi-client environment
  • Proficient with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; quick learner on new platforms
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on success in your approach to process improvement, proven track record of building successful workflows that stick
  • Experience within Digital Creator Economy, Talent Management, Talent Agency, Media & Entertainment is a bonus
