Job description

Department: Bobs Discount Furniture Warehouse / Werner Final Mile

Location: Warehouse 448 Pepper St. Monroe CT 06468

Work Environment: On site - Warehouse

Shift: Tue- Sat / 5 day work schedule / 4:00am to 2:00pm

Job Summary:

Physical warehouse position unloading tractor trailer loads of furniture and staging it for deliveries.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional responsibilities will be assigned by our management leaders ensure items are assembled according to the manufacturer directions

  • Perform a minimum daily assembly output as provided by the management
  • Report any defects or damages of any parts immediately to the management
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace and environment
  • Properly dispose of all waste accumulated during the assembly process
  • Perform professionally and effectively when interacting with Drive Teams
  • Use equipment properly to ensure the safety of all team members
  • Follow delivery processes to ensure Customer expectations are met and/or exceeded
  • Assist the Delivery Driver execute the placement of delivery items as specified by the Customer
  • Report all customer satisfaction issues to the management
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, get along with co-workers, customers, and supervisors
  • Embrace the Werner Final Mile Values A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required in addition with the ability to work a flexible schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • One plus years transportation / Logistics / customer product assembly / delivery of furniture or appliances, or experience with a moving company.
  • Must be 18 years old. Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Speak English and communicate with coworkers and read assembly instructions.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $16.44 - $21.92 per hour. Offers determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
