Role Overview
This is a core senior technical position focused on the end-to-end preparation, review, and strategic analysis of federal and state tax returns. Working in a structured hybrid setup out of the Tulsa, OK facility, you will take ownership of handling complex individual and corporate tax filings, providing vital planning support, ensuring absolute compliance with current tax regulations, and delivering elite client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Review & Approval: Review comprehensive federal and state income tax returns thoroughly before final partner sign-off.
  • Complex Tax Preparation: Prepare highly complex federal and state tax returns for both individual clients and diverse business structures.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform continuous account analysis, thorough financial reviews, and critical balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Strategic Tax Planning: Provide data-driven tax planning advice and identify innovative, tax-efficient financial strategies for clients.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner directly with clients to securely collect technical documentation, resolve inquiries, and manage expectations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay completely current on shifting local, state, and federal tax laws to provide highly accurate operational guidance.

Required Qualifications
  • Core Experience Level: Minimum 5 to 7+ years of dedicated professional experience in tax preparation and formal tax review.
  • Public Accounting Background: Strong, proven track record working within a public accounting environment.
