Job description

LEAD CT TECHNOLOGIST - PROCEDURAL CT - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the division supervisor, division head, and/or department administration will function as the person in charge in the absence of the supervisor. Will not be expected to make independent changes in policy/procedures or take disciplinary actions in the supervisor's absence. Performs related duties as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • May assist as a timekeeper, preparing employee schedules, ordering of supplies, reporting equipment malfunctions, and other related functions of the division as directed by the division/department leadership.
  • May function as a Radiologic Technologist and be assigned in the division schedules. (Will adhere to the job description for the position).
  • Will make the division/department leadership aware of any incidents, problems or emergencies that occur in the division.
  • Will respond to the radiologists and/or staff physicians regarding quality of patient care issues and relay information to the division/department leadership as appropriate.
  • May assist with the training of new personnel, and/or student who are assigned to the division.
  • Ensures that adequate supplies are in the division and properly stored.
  • May perform clerical duties to include answering telephones, patient scheduling, and RIS functions as needed.
  • May support Film Center functions such as: re filming, request folders, follow-up on missing/unread cases etc.
  • May maintain records; keep logs and other documentation as needed.
  • May participate in meeting, educational programs, etc. as necessary.
  • Completes all necessary work sheets, patient records and documentation.
  • Processes scans and related functions as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required
  • Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the ARRT advanced registry in CT
  • Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience required
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
  • Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS)
