Our part-time, paid internship program provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, innovative environment within the entertainment industry. Interns can work up to 29 hours per week with a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments. Participants will engage in real projects, gaining practical industry insights while developing professional skills through workshops and career-building sessions. The program also features guest speaker events with industry experts, networking opportunities with professionals and fellow interns, and exclusive perks such as company outings, team-building activities, and access to film and media screenings.


Summary

Legendary Entertainment is looking for highly motivated film development interns for the Internship Program. In addition to light general office duties, interns read and evaluate scripts, and write coverage. This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of film development and production. Candidates must be hardworking self-starters, who are intelligent, personable, and creative with a base knowledge of and passion for film, diverse storytelling, culturally relevant content, talent and the entertainment industry. In addition, the intern will work closely with the executives and members of the team.


Responsibilities

  • Heavy script and book reading.
  • Complete coverage on incoming projects, summarizing the story and commenting on if it’s a project worth pursuing.
  • Aid in the curating and updating master writer, actor and director lists for internal use as well as assisting with compiling and providing input on various internal creative grids and lists (ex: books, comics, video games, recent and classic films and TV shows, pop culture, culturally relevant content, etc.).
  • Assist with research projects into properties that are being pursued for possible feature adaptations.
Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Fall/Spring) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months
  • A GPA of 3.5 or above is highly preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
