Description

AES Drilling Fluids is seeking a detail-oriented Document Control Clerk to support an important records management project within our Human Resources department. This temporary, part-time role will play a key role in helping transition employee records into a more efficient digital filing system.ย 


This is expected to be a multi-month, on-site project with a schedule of up to 30 hours per week. ย 


Hourly pay: $23.50

WORK LOCATION: Houston, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizes documents of terminated employee files and prepares for scanning.

Creates tracking for all employee files to chronicle and record activity and status of each employee file.ย 

Scans relevant employee documents, as directed into electronic folders and checks scans for clarity.

Records progress, communicates project timelines and submits updates weekly to managers.

Assists team with archiving documents or files if appropriate.

Disposes of confidential documents as directed.

Assists with preparation of electronic folders to receive active employee documents.ย 

Deconstructs folders and prepares active employee files for scanning.

Scans active employee files as directed.

Moves documents to appropriate electronic folders and renames per key for each employee.ย 

Ensures that each document is catalogued accurately and stored properly.ย 

Handles records, make files and scans documents across various departments if requested.ย 

Performs other document related tasks as directed by the managers.ย 

Requirements

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.ย 

Experience managing a large volume of electronic documents and paper files is required.ย 

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook, as well as internet research skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment with an ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. ย 

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Pleasant personality and excellent customer service skills for effectively dealing with employees, customers, and other third parties.

Ability to strictly preserve the confidentiality of sensitive and/or proprietary AES and employee information.
