Managed File Transfer Service Axway Engineer
Job Description:
Responsible for supporting, maintaining and securing multiple Managed File Transfer Systems in which are configured in a highly available Windows and Red hat Linux based virtual clustered environment
Required Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills required for communicating with technical and non-technical customers as well as software vendors and business partners.
Experience on MFT Tools like Axway Secure Transport, Ipswitch MOVE it Software.
Working knowledge of TCPIP-based protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS, FTPS, S3, cloud connectors and/or IBM Sterling Connect DirectNDM.
Experience with troubleshooting problems and/or escalating various types of issues including but not limited to those related to connectivity, application configuration, script execution, permissions and access.
Experience in migrating from different MFT tools to Axway Secure Transport tool.
Strong Knowledge and use of commands in Linux.
To be able to code basic windows Batch, VBScript and PowerShell scripts.
Experience and comfort level using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (and source control) to develop and/or modify applications written in C and Visual Basic .NET.
Proficient at creating Microsoft SQL queries to produce result sets through use of table joins, sub queries, string functions and other methods to control the selection of data.
Intermediate knowledge of working with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft IIS, version 8 or higher.
Other Valuable Skills:
Experience using Axway MFT Software.
Experience using Ipswitch MOVE it Software.
Experience using IBM Sterling Connect Direct (for Windows) to build, maintain, configure and automate file transmissions.
Working knowledge of PGP Encryption Software.
Working knowledge of VIPs, DNS, load-balancing and failover concepts.
