Job Description Law Clerk - Insurance Defence Toronto, ON Our client, a litigation law firm known for its high level work is growing. They are adding two Law Clerks to its dynamic and diverse team. If you have 3+ years of litigation experience with an emphasis on insurance defence we want to hear from you.

Job Details In addition to a great attitude and genuine interest in being part of a team, here are some areas of expertise that would make for a great fit: Intake, organization and briefing of files; Preparing medical indices and summaries; Coordinating with investigators and other experts; Drafting pleadings, discovery plans and affidavits of documents; Pursuing and managing productions and undertakings; Assisting with motion materials; Preparing costs outlines; Drafting settlement documents; Assisting with arbitration and trial preparation and conduct; Direct communication with various counsel and clients; and Daily file management Preferred Experience and Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Law Clerk handling Accident Benefits and tort insurance defense files; Law Clerk Certification or undergraduate degree; Proficient with the Rules of Civil Procedure and LAT Rules of Practice; Ability to manage large volume of documents and work in a fast paced paperless environment; Strong tech skills (Primafact, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.); Confident ability to manage multiple priorities while being time conscious and deadline oriented; and Enjoy being proactive and working in a team Interested candidates should apply in confidence.
