Hiring Pay Ranges: $19.20 - $29.07 per hour
  • Loan Assistant I - $19.20 - $26.43 per hour
  • Loan Assistant II - $21.13 - $29.07 per hour
    • This position may be eligible to receive an additional $1.00 per hour is approved for the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.
    • The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.

Summary
  • Provides support to Lenders of the assigned department in loan preparation, processing, closing, and maintenance; customer interface with regard to loan processing, closing, and general customer service; support for the Retail Lending Team with the capacity of Loan Operations; performing daily operations duties as well as monthly reconciliation of accounts; and customer interface with regard to loan operations and general customer services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares loan requests and reviews required loan documents with close attention to detail.
  • Requests and coordinates loan documentation preparation.
  • Orders documentation, such as title policies, flood certifications, lien search, appraisals, insurance, payoff, participation certificate, etc. Alert Lenders to any concerns necessary to ensure security position.
  • Books and activates closed loans on bank systems.
  • Creates and maintains loan files for completeness. Audit loan files, maintains tickler-tracking system to ensure materiality and accurate financial information for necessary supporting documentation is in the file. Requests updated information for expiring documentation.
  • Performs funds transfers between accounts, draws, wires, loan advances, process payments, etc.
  • Provides general customer service.
  • Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.
  • Maintains a current knowledge and consistent compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
  • Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.

Education and/or Experience
Loan Assistant I
  • One year related Banking experience or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or GED minimum is required.
  • Basic technical knowledge and understanding of loan administration functions.
  • Proficient in basic computer and technology skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • To perform this successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Loan Assistant II
  • Minimum 2 years of loan assistant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in loan administration functions.
  • Proven ability to handle complex credits.
  • Proven ability to identify gaps and find solutions.
  • Advanced in higher level computer and technology sills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
