Job description

Product Owner
Shape the Future of Technology at Byrider
Are you passionate about turning business strategy into innovative technology solutions? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can influence product direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver meaningful business value?
Byrider is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our growing Information Technology team. In this role, you'll serve as the bridge between our business and technology teams, driving the development of products that improve operational efficiency, support our nationwide franchise network, and enhance the customer experience.
If you enjoy solving complex business challenges, making strategic product decisions, and leading Agile teams toward successful outcomes, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As our Product Owner, you will:
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business objectives.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Translate business needs into well-defined user stories and functional requirements.
  • Lead product delivery within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and backlog refinement.
  • Balance competing priorities while making informed decisions on scope, timelines, and business value.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Communicate product roadmaps, progress, risks, and priorities with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is equal parts strategist, collaborator, and problem solver.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar experience leading software initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, writing user stories, and prioritizing work based on business value.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar collaboration tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or similar Agile certification.
  • Experience with franchise operations, automotive retail, finance, or dealer management systems.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors or implementation partners.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Looker.

Why Join Byrider?
At Byrider, technology plays a critical role in helping our franchisees succeed. As a Product Owner, you'll have the opportunity to influence enterprise technology initiatives that directly impact business operations across our nationwide franchise network.
You'll join a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering solutions that make a measurable difference.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary
  • Annual incentive opportunity
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Company-paid Life Insurance, STD and AD&D
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities
  • A collaborative culture where your ideas and leadership make an impact

Why This Role Is Different
This is not a traditional requirements-gathering position.
We're looking for a Product Owner who thinks strategically, challenges assumptions, and confidently makes prioritization decisions that balance business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility. You'll be empowered to influence product direction, solve complex business problems, and lead through collaboration rather than authority.
If you're excited about building products that drive meaningful business outcomes, we encourage you to apply.
