What is a Figma developer?

A Figma Developer is a professional who specializes in using Figma, a collaborative interface design tool, to create, prototype, and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications. They often bridge the gap between design and development by turning Figma designs into interactive prototypes or production-ready code. Figma Developers work closely with designers and front-end engineers to ensure design consistency and usability across digital products. Their expertise includes working with Figma's features, plugins, and sometimes integrating Figma assets with development workflows.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Figma developer?

To thrive as a Figma Developer, you need a strong grasp of UI/UX design principles, proficiency in Figma, and a solid understanding of front-end development languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with design systems, prototyping tools, and version control platforms such as Git is typically required. Collaboration, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for translating design concepts into functional, user-friendly interfaces. These skills ensure high-quality, consistent digital products and smooth collaboration between design and development teams.

How does a Figma developer typically collaborate with designers and other team members during a project?

Job Description: SeniorUI/UX Developer

Help shape the front-end experience behind next-generation AI and analytics platforms for a major enterprise client in the entertainment and digital experiences space.

We are looking for a Sr. UI/UX Developer who can bridge the gap between design and engineering. In this role, you will turn high-fidelity Figma designs into polished, responsive, accessible, production-ready user interfaces for internal AI and analytics tools such as OpenWebUI, LiteLLM Admin UI, Archestra, and Arize dashboards.

This is a hands-on front-end development role for someone who cares deeply about design quality, usability, accessibility, and implementation detail. You will partner closely with UX designers, product managers, and backend/platform engineers to customize and extend complex applications so they feel cohesive, scalable, and aligned to enterprise design system and brand standards.

This is not a pure UX Designer role. The right candidate is a design-minded front-end developer who can bring high-quality UI to life in code.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop responsive, scalable, and production-ready web interfaces from Figma designs.
  • Build reusable UI components and contribute to shared component libraries.
  • Customize and enhance existing web applications using theming, CSS, and configuration-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to accurately implement designs and provide technical feedback.
  • Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
  • Implement loading states, error handling, and responsive user interactions.
  • Partner with engineering teams to support feature development across multiple web applications.
  • Document UI components, design patterns, and implementation standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor team members on frontend best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional frontend or UI development experience.
  • Strong experience building production web applications.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
  • Strong experience implementing designs from Figma and working with design systems.
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Python for frontendโ€‘adjacent integrations or application configuration.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing production web applications demonstrating responsive, production-ready user interfaces and contributions to complex application development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience customizing enterprise or openโ€‘source web applications through theming or configuration.
  • Experience working with AI, analytics, or dataโ€‘intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with design tokens and enterprise design systems.
  • Experience implementing accessible user interfaces using ARIA standards and keyboard navigation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments.
We are seeking a Senior Frontend UI/UX Developer to build responsive, scalable, and production-ready web applications. In this role, you will collaborate with UX designers and engineering teams to translate Figma designs into intuitive user experiences, develop reusable UI components, integrate frontend applications with backend services, and help deliver accessible, high-performance web applications.
