Job description

About Brightway

Established in 2008, Brightway is proud to be one of the fastest-growing insurance agency systems in the United States. With over 350 franchises spanning 35+ states and an impressive $1.3 billion in annual premiums, we rank among the nation’s largest privately owned property and casualty insurance distribution companies. We support our agency owners with comprehensive back-office services, marketing resources, and continuous learning and development.

We are embarking on the next stage of our customer-centric growth, driven by innovation from our talented associates and the application of cutting-edge technologies. This growth has opened doors for creative thinkers who thrive in a diverse and collaborative culture. As a Brightway team member, you'll engage in exciting projects that are reshaping the industry, working alongside a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional customer service and safeguarding our clients' most valuable assets.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About the Role:

Brightway Agents are the heart of our business - independent franchise owners who build their own books of business leveraging Brightway's platform, products, and carrier network. As the Senior Product Manager for Agent Ecosystem, you will own the technology that powers how agents engage customers, manage their pipelines, and close business. That means deeply understanding every stage of an agent's workflow — from building key relationships and sourcing customers to quoting policies and helping customers select the right coverage — and building tools that make each step faster, smarter, and more effective. This is a growth-oriented role in the fullest sense. You'll define and build a first class customer engagement and sales product experience, working across a complex ecosystem of internal stakeholders, agent franchisees, and technology partners. Success here is measured by one thing: are agents building stronger businesses?

What You'll Do

  • Own the product strategy for Agent Ecosystem, translating a deep understanding of agent workflows into a prioritized roadmap of high-impact work
  • Synthesize inputs from agents, executive leadership, design, and engineering into clear decisions about what to build and why
  • Build strong relationships with Brightway agents and internal business partners, serving as the voice of the customer inside the product organization
  • Develop a deep understanding of the independent insurance agency model, including how Brightway agents run their businesses, what drives their success, and Brightway's within the broader market
  • Define success metrics at every stage of the agent sales funnel (i.e. acquisition, quoting, and bind) to ensure data to drive prioritization
  • Partner with executive leadership to align on strategy, communicate tradeoffs, and manage delivery expectations

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a track record of shipping products that drive measurable business outcomes
  • You have sharp product instincts — a natural sense for what will help users accomplish their goals and walk away impressed
  • You're equally comfortable talking shop with agents in the field, discussing tradeoffs with engineers and presenting strategy to the C-suite; you know how to communicate effectively to different audiences
  • You define a compelling vision and make others want to build it with you
  • You lead through influence, not authority, and have a proven ability to align competing stakeholders around a shared direction
  • You have a strong bias toward action and outcomes over process
  • You're curious about emerging technologies and restless with the status quo — always looking for smarter ways to solve hard problems
  • You're comfortable using AI-enabled tools like Claude Code and Figma Make to rapidly prototype and validate ideas — and you take ownership in the building, not just the directing

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
