What is a Figma Developer?

A Figma Developer is a professional who specializes in using Figma, a collaborative interface design tool, to create, prototype, and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications. They often bridge the gap between design and development by turning Figma designs into interactive prototypes or production-ready code. Figma Developers work closely with designers and front-end engineers to ensure design consistency and usability across digital products. Their expertise includes working with Figma's features, plugins, and sometimes integrating Figma assets with development workflows.

Job description

About the Role

At SharkNinja, we don't just launch campaigns; we build the future of consumer engagement. We are looking for an ambitious, highly conceptual, and hands-on Senior Designer, Creative to help shape the visual future of our expanding brand portfolio. Operating out of our global headquarters in Needham, MA, this role is built for a visual storyteller who thrives at the intersection of premium brand design, digital commerce, and rapid execution.

As a Senior Designer, you won't just skin layout templates-you will work upstream with copywriters, art directors, and brand marketers, getting direct access to the engineering and R&D labs to build entire visual identities from the ground up. You excel at taking a raw product concept and turning it into a beautiful, cohesive, and high-performing design ecosystem. From defining packaging look-and-feel to engineering scroll-stopping digital, retail, and social assets, you will be a major driver of the visual identity for multi-billion-dollar global brands.

What You'll Do
  • Build Scalable Visual Ecosystems: Think in design systems, not single assets. Create cohesive visual platforms that transition seamlessly across Packaging, DTC websites, Amazon storefronts, Retail displays, platform-native Paid Social (TikTok, Meta), and Experiential events.

  • Drive Big-Idea Conceptualization: Partner daily with copywriters and art directors to brainstorm and execute breakthrough, multi-channel campaign concepts that solve real business challenges and elevate brand perception.

  • Lead Design Execution & Craft: Maintain an exceptionally high bar for typography, layout, color theory, and asset creation, ensuring your assigned brand maintains a premium, consistent, and culturally relevant identity globally.

  • Champion an AI-Native Workflow: Boldly integrate Figma, advanced AI asset-generation platforms, and emerging design tools into your daily process to remove mechanical friction, explore wider creative directions, and rapidly prototype visual concepts.

  • Direct Production and Assets: Assist in prep and art direction for photo and video shoots, and lead the post-production design execution to ensure final assets match the original strategic and visual intent.

  • Mentor & Elevate Talent: Act as a leader and culture-carrier in the Needham studio, guiding junior-to-mid level designers, sharing design best practices, and fostering a collaborative, high-velocity creative environment.

Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Graphic/Digital Design Experience: Proven track record within a fast-paced creative agency or a high-velocity in-house creative department (direct experience with consumer goods, lifestyle, or DTC brands is highly preferred).

  • An Elite, Multi-Channel Portfolio: Demonstrates exceptional conceptual thinking, top-tier typography, master-level digital layouts, and a deep understanding of packaging design, motion graphics/social content, and e-commerce ecosystems.

  • A Systems Thinker: A proven ability to look at a product launch and build a comprehensive visual toolkit that a whole team can run with, rather than just designing isolated ads.

  • Advanced Mastery of Modern Design Tools: Expert-level fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma. A strong curiosity and active, hands-on passion for utilizing generative AI tools to accelerate the concepting phase.

  • Thrives on Velocity: Highly adaptable, prolific with design options, and energized by tight deadlines. You excel at keeping a premium bar for creative craft while matching the relentless speed of a global consumer innovator.

What Does Success Look Like?
  • In 30 Days: You have fully integrated into our Needham creative team, aligned with your core copy and art direction partners, and mastered the unique visual guidelines and strategic goals of your assigned product portfolio.

  • In 90 Days: You are independently taking raw product briefs and driving the visual identity for upcoming campaigns-pitching 3+ distinct, high-impact design directions that span from packaging lockups down to mobile-first social assets.

  • In 1 Year: You have designed and launched high-performing global campaigns that have fundamentally shifted consumer perception and driven record-breaking product adoption. Your design frameworks have up-leveled the visual output of the Needham headquarters, delivering work that is "Outrageously Extraordinary."

Why SharkNinja?

SharkNinja is an innovative global powerhouse behind two multi-billion-dollar brands, Shark and Ninja. We were proudly named to TIME's List of the 100 Most Influential Companies, and we are growing at an unprecedented pace.

  • The Needham HQ Innovation Campus: You will work out of our collaborative global headquarters in Needham, Mass. It's an energetic, cross-functional environment packed with advanced engineering labs, culinary kitchens, and full-scale prototyping studios-giving you direct, hands-on access to the innovation before it even hits the market.

  • An AI-Native Culture: We don't run from the future; we build it. We actively expect and empower our creative teams to use modern tools to remove mechanical friction and move faster, freeing you up to focus on pure, high-concept creative genius.

  • Limitless Impact and Velocity: We are a flat, product-led company that rewards execution and bold thinking. If you have a breakthrough visual idea and the drive to make it happen, there is zero red tape to stop you. We support our associates in taking massive ownership and experiencing true career acceleration.
